Description: Success Highways is a research-based dropout prevention program that focuses on building six key academic resiliency skills in students. They are: building academic confidence, making connections with educators, setting goals, managing stress, increasing well being and understanding motivation. Our results are significant: students see higher attendance, improved grades and higher number of classes passed – key early warning indicators of dropouts. Success Highways is a 15 hour program with pre and post-assessments that is highly flexible and can be implemented in an existing class, during an advisory period, after school or in a sumer program.

How Program is Funded: This program is available for purchase and can be funded through school or district dollars, Title I or other federal resources, private funding or through state initiative. We can assist in grant writing for this program.
Evidence of Effectiveness: Internal evaluation completed, External evaluation completed, Final evaluation report available, visit our website for reports

How do you know your program is effective: Our results-oriented curriculum is based on 15 years of research, conducted primarily at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. It was pilot-tested, refined and strengthened in a second urban school district prior to being published for distribution. Success Highways is aligned with state K-12 content standards in all 50 states and can be easily integrated into the curriculum. To learn more, we offer our research paper and a white paper on our website at www.scholarcentric.com.

What has not worked in the program any why: We do not recommend a pull-out approach - our program works best when all the students in the classroom use Success Highways. Our program is teacher-led and we recommend the teacher run the class or team teach with a counselor or advisor.
