Evidence of Effectiveness: External evaluation in progress

How do you know your program is effective: Monitoring grades, attendence and the kids involvement in the criminal justice system. Maybe I will know in about 4 years when the first batch of kids I mentored graduate. The most effective part of this program is the listening of the kids problems and communication with staff as to the personal problems goin gon ion a childs life.

What has not worked in the program any why: Constant preaching by teachers and others that feel they can make kids be just like them.
