Description: Provides residential & non-residential services on short term basis to children who have runaway and need shelter and/or counseling. Also provided are prevention services and community involvement. Project Safe Place is operated out of the Haven W. Poe Runaway Center.

Evidence of Effectiveness: various audits and data collection/evaluation 

How do you know your program is effective: Through reports which indicate a drop in juvenile crime in our area. Feedback from clients and governing authorities.

What has not worked in the program any why: Behavior management techniques that rely on consequences instead of enrichment strategies.
