| Description: |
We provide 3.5 hour classes for truant students referred by schools. Classes are conducted on four community college campuses and include information about negative conseqences of truancy and educational opportunities associated with higher education. We provide campus tours, discussion of how to apply to and pay for college.

How do you know your program is effective: Following our first year of operation, we found 11% of students initially referred as truants (half were court ordered) returned to enroll, in less than a year, as for-credit college students within the Dallas County Community College District.
